Car keys, remotes and immobilisers — cut, coded and programmed

Lost your only key, need a spare before you lose one, or locked out at the shops? We cut, code and programme vehicle keys in Mbabane, and we work on the electronic security behind them.

ALC key cutting machine producing a replacement vehicle key in Mbabane

Most vehicle key work is electronic now. A blade that fits the lock is only half the job — the key also has to be accepted by the immobiliser before the engine will start. We do both parts here: cut the mechanical key and programme the transponder, remote or smart key to the vehicle.

If your last key is gone we can usually produce a new one from the vehicle itself. Bring it in, or tell us where it is and what it is, and we'll tell you what's involved before you commit to anything.

Locked out right now?

Send us your location and the vehicle on WhatsApp. Vehicle lockouts are opened without damaging the lock or the door.

Why ALC

Why bring it to ALC

Keys and electronics under one roof

If the key is fine and the fault is in the immobiliser, receiver or body module, the bench that tests it is in the same building.

Cut and coded here

Key cutting, transponder programming and remote coding are done in the shop, not sent away.

Repair before replace

Broken shells, worn buttons and dead batteries are often a repair, not a new key.

In the workshop

Examples of actual work

Last key lost

New key produced and programmed to the vehicle, old keys removed from memory so they no longer start it.

Remote stopped working

Battery, board and receiver tested before anything was replaced — a common false-alarm 'dead remote'.

Immobiliser fault

Module supplied, fitted and programmed after testing confirmed the original unit had failed.

FAQs

Questions we get asked

I've lost every key to my car. Can you still help?

In most cases yes. We produce a new key and programme it to the vehicle. Send us the make, model and year on WhatsApp and we'll confirm before you bring it in.

Do I need to bring the vehicle, or just the key?

For a spare key we usually need the vehicle, because the key has to be programmed to it. Key repairs and battery replacements can be done with the key alone.

Can you make a key without the vehicle present?

A mechanical copy, sometimes. An electronic key that has to start the car needs the vehicle.

Tell us what you need

Send the make, model and year on WhatsApp and tell us which keys you still have. We'll confirm what's possible and what's involved before you come in.
